This page explains how to ask Voluble to delete personal data, as required by the Meta Platform Terms and the Philippine Data Privacy Act (RA 10173). It is written for two different groups of people. Find the one that describes you.
What data does Voluble hold?
Voluble is an AI assistant that answers Facebook and Instagram messages for businesses. Depending on who you are, we may hold:
- If you are a business that uses Voluble: your account details (name, email, business info), billing records, the files you uploaded (price lists, FAQs), your settings, and the conversation logs of people who messaged your Page.
- If you are someone who messaged a business's Page: your name and profile picture as shared by Meta, your Page-Scoped ID, the messages you sent, any photos or documents you sent, and the AI's replies.
Path A - You are a business that uses Voluble
- Email us at support@voluble.ph with the subject line "Data Deletion Request - Business".
- Tell us your Voluble account email and business name.
- Tell us what you want deleted - your entire account, or specific items (for example, a specific uploaded file or a set of conversation logs).
- We will verify that you control the account, then process the deletion.
Path B - You messaged a business's Facebook or Instagram Page
Voluble handled your conversation on behalf of the business you messaged. That business is the controller of your data, so you have two ways to get your data deleted:
Option 1 - Ask Voluble directly:
- Email us at support@voluble.ph with the subject line "Data Deletion Request - Consumer".
- Tell us the name of the Facebook Page or Instagram account you messaged.
- Tell us the name and/or profile you used so we can locate your conversation.
- We will verify what we can, coordinate with the business as needed, and delete your data.
Option 2 - Ask the business you messaged. Because the business controls your conversation, you can also ask it directly, and we will act on its instruction.
What information you must provide
So we can find the right data and avoid deleting the wrong person's information, please give us: the email or account name you use with us (businesses), or the Page you messaged and the name/profile you used (consumers). We may ask for reasonable proof of identity before we delete anything.
How long it takes
We complete verified deletion requests within 30 days and email you to confirm when it is done. If a request is complex, we will tell you and keep you updated.
What gets deleted and what we must keep
We delete the personal data covered by your request. We may keep a limited amount of data where the law requires it - for example, billing and tax records under Philippine tax law, or data we must preserve for a legal claim or investigation. We will only keep what we are required to keep, for as long as we are required to keep it.
How to disconnect the Facebook or Instagram integration (for businesses)
- In your Voluble dashboard, open Settings and disconnect the Page/account; or
- On Facebook, go to Settings, then Business Integrations (or your Page's connected apps), find Voluble, and click Remove.
Disconnecting stops Voluble from processing any new messages from that Page.
Removing the app also triggers deletion
If you remove the Voluble app from your Facebook settings (Settings & Privacy, then Settings, then Apps and Websites, then Voluble, then Remove), Facebook notifies Voluble, and we treat that as a signal to delete the associated data.
